The Sanctuary
There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope at your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God  and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all. Ephesians 4:4 (CHS)

I've finally started reading Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis (my favorite author). Amazing. I just love his writing style. It's like he says everything and more about what I would like to say to the world, except he sounds much better saying it. I guess I will just stick to singing to the world instead of writing to it.

I went to Birchwood Baptist Church today. I enjoyed it pretty well. They have a rather large college/career group. And man...the girl:guy ratio out here is AMAZING! The church is pretty close to Southwestern Seminary, so I think that they pull in a lot of students. Anyway, in class we talked about "Disputable Matters" within the Church. Whether they fall into the category of command or conviction and the proper vs. improper way to handle them.

The first thing that came up was alcohol. I almost got fired up, but I held my tongue on that one. It was a good lesson though...out of Romans...eating meat vs. not eating meat.

The pastor preached on why Christ died. It was a pretty good sermon. The worship was all hymns. I missed our 9:30 service, but I enjoyed the hymns.

Lucky! I have the Chronicles of Narnia, The Weight of Glory, and my favorite...The Great Divorce. I'm reading Jacki's copy of Mere Christianity, but I will buy it when I get the chance. I'm about half way through now. It is very good.

I miss you Grace! I haven't talked to anyone from Chas. in a while...I have limited roaming minutes. I will be back next week though...hopefully. How's everything with you?
