Day 2

Hello! Well, for some reason Jacki's gear shift would not budge Wednesday morning! God worked everything out though. We got to the studio about an hour late. The cool thing though is we recorded the vocals for 9 of the songs! I only have 1 more track to record for the main vocals. Then, we can record the background vocals as well! It really is awesome! We have made so much progress in just two sessions! I can't wait to get back to the studio!
Another thing...the studio is located in Lynnville (equivalent to Mayberry). It is so small and quiet and cute. It has an old train station in the middle of it. The only place to get a bite to eat is called The Soda Pop Junction. Jacki and I went to lunch Wednesday and split a platter. We weren't that hungry, and I didn't want to eat too much, because I was singing and all. The platter included 2 marinated chicken breasts, toast, a small salad, and fries for $6.99. Pretty good deal. When the waitress brought our food out. We each got a chicken breast, two pieces of toast, a basket of fries, and a small salad. Way too much food for us to finish!
We decided to get a soda instead of our usual water with lemon. Since it was called Soda Pop Junction...why not order a soda? I read the list and saw something that looked unique. I asked the waitress, "Oooh, what is Sun Drop?" She looked at me like I was a freak and then was speachless. Jacki explained that it was like Mountain Dew. I shrugged and ordered a Root Beer. Then, the waitress went back to her friend behind the counter and laughed at me. I looked outside and there was a huge truck pulling off with Sun Drop all over it. Since then, I've been told that Sun Drop is THE drink of choice where we were.
The family I am staying with, the Adelgrens, picked us up from the studio and we all went to Cracker Barrel. I found that anyone can order from the kids menu. How cool is that! Don't make any jokes about me looking young either! If you look at the menu it reads, "kids of all ages." Anyway, I ordered the shrimp, hush puppies and mashed potatos...$4.29 and comes with a drink! Pretty good size portion. I didn't even eat it all.
